CHURCH LINEN
We are very grateful to all who help with the Church linen throughout the year, but more volunteers are needed. If you would like to help with this Ministry please speak to Denise, sacristan at Our Lady of Peace or contact Yvonne.

CAN YOU HELP?
At Funerals we need help with handing out the Order of Service and helping tidy the Church after the funeral. If you can help please just turn up when you see the notice in the Bulletin that there is to be a funeral held in the Church.
CONFIRMATION HELPERS NEEDED!
Can you help and support our young people as they prepare for confirmation in June? Please let me have your names as soon as possible.
USED STAMPS FOR THE MISSIONS
Please save your stamps and put in the boxes available in the Church porches.
Over the years used stamps have been collected at Slough and have been sold on to raise funds for work undertaken in schools, hospitals and Parishes by Sisters, Brothers, Lay People and Priests in the developing world. The used stamps are sold on to Dealers and Collectors, and the proceeds used to assist in funding Church projects. This can be done here in this Parish by as many people as possible depositing as many stamps as is possible in the Stamps for the Missions box at the back of Church. Please make a real effort to bring your used stamps to Church and help in this simple way to support the Church’s work abroad.
DONATIONS OF FOREIGN COINS
After your Summer holidays if you have returned with any foreign coins which you do not want to keep until your next holiday, we would welcome any coins or notes. ‘Old’ coins are also useful to us eg ‘old decimal’ and pre-decimal UK money and European Francs, Deutschmarks, Punts etc. Please leave in the Sacristy marked ‘Foreign coins’, or give to Yvonne or Denise.
THE CATENIAN ROSARY GROUP
Since 2009 they have been sending Rosaries to Aboriginals in Australia and to Third World Countries in Africa. To date they have sent over 150,000 Rosaries but many more are needed. Please search your cupboards and drawers for surplus Rosaries, there is a box in the porch at Our Lady of Peace.
FOODBANK – CAN YOU HELP?
St Andrew’s Shared Church Foodbank distribution point for Cippenham. Every Wednesday 11am-2.00pm. They need volunteers to work alongside Foodbank in St Andrew’s, working on a rota. Full training will be given. For further information please contact Revd Janet Minkkinen, Vicar 07856047960 or 01628 661994.
If you chose to make further donations during the year they would very much welcome products that they are nearly always low on their list of availability: these are tins of meat, tins of fish, long life milk, long life fruit juices and instant mash potatoes.
If it is more convenient a financial gift would be welcome, as it would contribute to the storage and transport costs and enables them to buy some foods to ensure they always give tasty, well balanced food parcels to all recipients. For more information please telephone 01753 550303.

SATURDAYS – PRESBYTERY GARDEN
Can you spare an hour or two on a Saturday or even during the week? It does not have to be a permanent commitment – a little help goes a long way to keep our Church garden looking neat and tidy. The only qualification you need is enthusiasm! John is there from 10.00am every Saturday, and Giles, Martina and Leo have been working hard in the garden during the week, if you can pop in and help for an hour or so on a Saturday or during the week they would be delighted to see you.
Would anyone like to donate a Rose or shrub for the garden at the Presbytery? Please contact John on 07519 698394. John is happy to plant it.

CIRCLE OF LIFE LUNCH CLUB
The lunch club takes place at St. Andrew’s every Tuesday between 12 noon and 2pm – a chance to meet people over a cup of tea/coffee and a bite to eat. They are looking for volunteers who could spare say 2 hrs once a month to serve just the tea/coffee and so keep this community service going. Pop along and see for yourself, and perhaps you would be happy to help? Please speak to one of the members for further details.
HOST
Host is looking for kind, friendly, hospitable people who are inspired by the idea of welcoming an international student at university here, far from his or her own family, to their home. This could be for a day, a weekend or Christmas, and you do not need to live near a university, as students will travel for the privilege of meeting you, learning about real life in this country, and sharing their own culture. HOST is a voluntary activity which makes ambassadors for international goodwill of us all. Please see www.hostuk.org or call HOST on 0207 739 6292.
FLOWER ARRANGERS
Many thanks for all the hard work preparing for Christmas and Easter. We are always looking for more volunteers to help us arrange flowers. Names to June Potter or Father Joseph.
