PILGRIMS OF HOPE Bishop Bishop David is asking every parish to get involved in the next phase of the Synod for our diocese. Find out more and register at: https://pastoralministryoffice.org/assembly
WEEK 2 – 30TH APRIL
Each parish and Catholic community is asked to choose Assembly delegates that represent the variety of ages, ethnicities and ministries across our diocese. Please pray for them as they take on this commitment.
“We are not called to be navel-gazers, but a communion of communities that looks beyond themselves… And so it is imperative that we become a synodal diocese, building upon the conversations we have held over the past few months.” – Bishop David Oakley, Diocesan Synod Report.
RED BOXES There will be a message of thanks after each Mass for the past year’s Mission donations this weekend, and a supply of forms will be provided by which you may change from coin to a direct/online method if you so wish.
TEA AND COFFEE refreshments are available each Sunday after the 9.30am Mass. The total collection for Sunday, 16th April was £80.84. Thank you so much to everyone.
MOTHERS PRAYERS Meetings take place at 10.30am on Thursday mornings. This is a wonderful opportunity to pray for our children and grandchildren.
MOTHERS PRAYER INTENTION BOOK This is available at the Sacristy for your use. The mothers’ prayer group will pray for the intentions contained therein during their meetings on Thursdays.

OUR PARISH LIST OF THE SICK There is a book where you can enter the name of the person to be prayed for. In line with Data Protection legislation please obtain the consent of the person before entering their name in the book. This book will be placed on the altar during each Mass in Our Lady of Peace Church.
MASS INTENTIONS If you wish to book a Mass Intention please place the intention in an envelope, write the name of the person(s) who the Mass is for, whether Deceased or Intention, also the name of the person who is offering the Mass. This will avoid any disappointment on the Mass intentions not being offered on the requested date(s).
SLOUGH FOODBANK are appealing for more donations, the cost of living crisis has resulted in fewer donations and more clients and they are having to use their funds to buy food themselves to meet the current demand. The following link will take you to a list of items which they need. https://slough.foodbank.org.uk/give-help-2/foodbank-wishlist/
CONFIRMING OUR PARISH NAME In discussion with Bishop David recently, it has been decided to firm up the name of our combined Parish by combining the two names together in a new logo. Going forward we are ‘Our Lady of Peace and St Andrew’s’. The Bishop is happy with this slight amendment as it helps in some way for people to understand that we are truly one Parish and not two separate entities. You will see the new logo appearing across the Parish in future.
