Parish Notices
WE CORDIALLY WELCOME Fr. Eamonn Mulchahy, CSSP to our Parish. Fr. Eamonn is with us this weekend for the first part of our Parish Symposium and will be taking all the Masses this Weekend.
A TREMENDOUS THANK YOU to everyone who hosted the Statue of Our Lady of Walsingham in their homes throughout the month of October as part of the “Host a Rosary Campaign.” Frs. Marek and Anthony are extremely appreciative of your gracious hospitality and incredibly inspiring moments of prayer. May the intercession of Our Lady constantly protect you and your loved ones.
MORNING PRAYER will be said on Monday, Tuesday and Friday at 9.15am in Our Lady of Peace, and on Thursday at 9.15am in St Andrew’s.
ADDITIONAL MASSES AT OUR LADY OF PEACE In recognition of the fact that many working parishioners can only attend adoration and Mass on weekends, we are pleased to provide an hour of adoration at 9AM and an additional Mass on Saturday mornings at 10AM, as well as a midweek Mass on Wednesdays at 9.30AM.
CONGRATULATIONS to Louis Coutinho who will be Baptised on Sunday, 6th November in St Andrew’s. Please pray for Louis, his parents, Grandparents and Godparents.
BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE As in previous years, the Book of Remembrance will be kept in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel during November. Please do not write any names in the book.
HOLY SOULS ENVELOPES These are available and can be found in the Church porches. Please write the names of your dear ones and put in the envelope with your offering. The envelopes can be returned with the usual collection or put them through the letter box at the Presbytery. Your dear ones will be remembered at all the Masses for the Holy Souls offered during November.
OFFERTORY The collection for 30th October amounted to £733.24. There will be a retiring collection this weekend for Bishop’s Maintenance Fund, and there will be a retiring collection next weekend for Sick and Retired Priests’ Fund. We are very grateful for your continued support.
WORLD MISSION SUNDAY Thank you very much for your donations to World Mission Sunday last week. Your prayers and support of World Mission Sunday will help missionaries work alongside communities throughout the world that are poor or in need, regardless of their background or belief. Please pray for the work of Missio and all those working to offer the love of Jesus, that we may remain strong in our witness to Christ’s love for all peoples. To continue supporting mission throughout the year, please go to missio.org.uk or call 020 7821 9755 (office hours).

WOULD YOU LIKE TO LEARN MORE ABOUT YOUR FAITH? Consider joining online to follow the Catholic Certificate in Religious Studies or Diocesan Certificate in Religious Studies? Both courses offer the same eight modules in Scripture and Catholic Theology with the CCRS leading to a nationally recognised qualification. Those who follow the CCRS/DCRS say they gain a great deal from the course, deepening their knowledge and understanding of their faith. To find out more about the course, contact Ann Collon Email: educationserviceadmin[AT]northamptondiocese.org or visit our website: www.northamptondioceseschools.org
MASS INTENTIONS If you wish to book a Mass Intention please place the intention in an envelope, write the name of the person(s) who the Mass is for, whether Deceased or Intention, also the name of the person who is offering the Mass. This will avoid any disappointment on the Mass intentions not being offered on the requested date(s).
ROSARY GROUP The Rosary Group recite the Rosary after 9.30am Mass each morning in Our Lady of Peace Church. Please join them if you can.
PARISH PRAYER LIST Please remember all those who are in our Parish Prayer list book, which is placed on the Altar at each Mass. If you wish to add a name to the list please obtain the permission of the person and write the name in the book.
CONFIRMING OUR PARISH NAME In discussion with Bishop David recently, it has been decided to firm up the name of our combined Parish by combining the two names together in a new logo. Going forward we are ‘Our Lady of Peace and St Andrew’s’. The Bishop is happy with this slight amendment as it helps in some way for people to understand that we are truly one Parish and not two separate entities. You will see the new logo appearing across the Parish in future.

PARISH SYMPOSIUM: REDISCOVERING THE FRESHNESS OF JESUS AT OUR LADY OF PEACE AND ST ANDREW’S
By now, you will have heard about our Parish Symposium which takes place at St Andrew’s Shared Church, Cippenham across two sessions:
Part 2. 12th November, 10:00am – 4:00pm at St Andrew’s Shared Church, Cippenham.
Featuring Danny Curtin, a faith based facilitator who picks up from Part 1 of the symposium to help us understand Pope Francis’ thinking on how all parishes must take a listening, discerning approach if we are to move forward successfully. Danny will open up group discussions where we consider the output from the Synod, listen to thoughts, ideas and suggestions and consider what exactly the Holy Spirit is telling us, what is coming for us as a Parish and where do we go from here.
Please reserve these dates and times in your diaries and invite others to come and participate in this important event, share your thoughts, voice your opinion and help shape the direction and future of our Parishes. Time will be allocated for a ‘bring-and-share’ lunch where we will socialise and get to know each other better. Tea/coffee/biscuits for refreshment breaks will be provided. For more information, please contact the Parish office. [office.ourladyofpeace[AT]northamptondiocese.org]
