Notices
SEA SUNDAY There will be a retiring collection held THIS weekend (11th July) for ‘Sea Sunday’. Thank you for your generosity for the retiring collections held recently ‘Day for Life’ raised £333.81. and ‘Peter’s Pence’ raised £199.26.
CONGRATULATIONS to Rory Murphy who received the Sacrament of Baptism on Saturday, 10th July, please pray for Rory, his parents, Godparents and Grandparents.
KEEPING SAFE It is wonderful to see more people at Mass as each week goes by and we continue to encourage you to get both vaccinations as soon as you are invited. In the meantime, we remain vigilant, maintaining best possible standards of safety, continuing to wear face coverings, sanitising hands, collecting names and numbers for ‘Track and Trace’ and cleaning pews after each service. In addition to the above, stewards will take a closer look at movement throughout the Church during distribution of Holy Communion so you may be asked to wait at various times. And finally, an important reminder to please refrain from singing at Mass as it continues to be one of the most efficient ways of spreading an airborne disease. Thank you, once again, for your cooperation and your patience, which can only serve to keep you and everyone around you safe.
SHEKHINAH PRAYER GROUP meet weekly on Wednesdays from 7.00pm to 8.30pm via Zoom. Catholic teachings on different topics and Lectio Divina (Praying the Scriptures) are handled on alternative weeks, the topic for Wednesday 14th July will be ‘The Challenge of Surrender’. PARISH PICNIC On Sunday 25th July we would like to invite everyone to the Presbytery garden for a parish picnic. In the interest of good safety, rather than the usual ‘Bring and Share’ we felt it would be more appropriate for everyone to bring their own picnic and drinks, picnic rug/folding chairs etc so that we can maintain good hygiene standards. Please join us in the Presbytery garden at 1.00pm. We very much look forward to seeing you all and to celebrating being together again as much as possible.

FEELING ISOLATED? We realise there are many parishioners who are not on our data base who may be feeling isolated from the Parish because they hear nothing from us. To enable us to reach out and find out where people live and how they are managing, we are making a plea for Parishioners to contact people – via telephone or from a 2m distance wearing a mask, who have no access to the internet and encourage them to provide a telephone number to allow us to check on how they are. If you know of any parishioner please let Yvonne know, either via email office.ourladyofpeace[AT]northamptondiocese.org or telephone the office on 01628 605764.
SUBMISSIONS FOR THE PARISH WEBSITE OR WEEKLY NEWSLETTER can be sent to Yvonne. Items on paper and print are also accepted and can be given to Yvonne or Fr Joseph, or delivered to the Presbytery. The deadline for items for the printed bulletin is Thursday 12 noon.
