If you use this option, we ask that you please indicate in the notes section which parish, including the parish name that you would like your donation to be attributed to i.e. Easter offering. Please note that there is the facility to Gift Aid any donation to your Parish: https://northamptondiocese.org/donate/
DECEASED Please pray for the repose of the soul of Margaret Lawrence RIP who died on Friday, no details of her funeral arrangements are available currently. May her soul and the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace, Amen.
A PARISHIONER WRITES ABOUT VACCINES When I was ten in 1950 there was a polio epidemic. I knew children who died and who were left paralysed, I had friends who walked with callipers and crutches. There was no vaccine for polio. When I was a little older I had a neighbour with a young son called John. John caught measles when he was an energetic lively 2 year old. I used to help look after him while his mother went out to the shops. At the age of 5 he wasn’t able to do anything for himself, and could no longer run about or speak. Measles had damaged John’s brain and he would never recover. There was no vaccine for measles.
When I was in my twenties I had tuberculosis (T.B.) and was in hospital for six months. There was no vaccine for TB. In 2021 we can all be protected by vaccines from measles, rubella, mumps, polio, tetanus, tuberculosis, pneumonia and Covid 19. One of my daughters is working for the Covid 19 team giving vaccinations, helping to protect people from serious sickness and possible death. We are lucky in our country that anyone can get the vaccine for Covid – the homeless and the royal family, rabbis, priests and imams, you and me. Even Pope Francis has had his jab and has asked us to follow his example. If you have any doubts or worries about this please talk to your doctor or to Fr Joe.

To enable us to reach out and find out where people live and how they are managing, we are making a plea for Parishioners to contact people – via telephone or from a 2m distance wearing a mask, who have no access to the internet and encourage them to provide a telephone number to allow us to check on how they are.
