PARISH OFFICE Yvonne continues her duties as Parish Secretary, albeit working from home for two days per week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9.00am to 2.00pm, until further notice. For all Parish matters please contact Yvonne via email on office.ourladyofpeace[AT]northamptondiocese.org, or Fr Joseph via email on frjosephudoh[AT]northamptondiocese.org or telephone the Parish office on 01628 605764 and leave a message.
JAMIE MCFARLAINE, RIP Kindly pray for the repose of the soul of Jamie, aged 21 who died recently at Wexham park hospital. Also keep his family, especially his mother Melanie in your thoughts and prayers. Details of Jamie’s funeral yet to be confirmed.
COVID – 19 CORONAVIRUS UPDATES FROM FR JOE Cessation of public liturgies, including the Holy Mass, which came into effect from Thursday, 5th November 2020, and will continue until further notice. Like most of you, I am very disappointed and sorry we are back in the situation.
Because of the situation the Church finds herself in, the obligation for the faithful to attend Holy Mass on a Sunday or Holy day of Obligation is removed, until further notice.
However, I will continue to celebrate a private Mass and will fulfil the intentions already booked with the Parish every day (including Saturdays and Sundays) at 9.30am. Perhaps you could join in Spirit as the Masses are offered for you and make a Spiritual Communion.
If you are concerned about anything, please do not hesitate to contact the Parish office. In the meantime, please feel free to come for private prayers as shown below.

NOVEMBER PLENARY INDULGENCE for the Holy Souls – during the CoVid pandemic
Decree of the Apostolic Penitentiary 22 October 2020. – Summary:
- The Plenary Indulgence for visiting a Cemetery [from November 1-8} and that given for All Souls’ Day can be transferred to any day in November.
- The elderly, sick, housebound, those sheltering et al, can obtain the indulgence for All Souls’ Day on any day in November by uniting themselves spiritually to other faithful, by prayer before an image of Jesus or Mary, such as the Divine Office, the Rosary, Divine Mercy Chaplet, praying for the dead or using the scriptures of the Order of Christian Funerals, or by a work of mercy, offering their own struggles to God.
