CAFOD LENT FAMILY FAST DAY is on Friday, 6th March and is the 60th anniversary of the first Family Fast Day led by our founding mothers (one from our very own diocese!) and, as it has been for sixty years, is an opportunity to reach out and support highly-skilled local experts around the world who help the poorest members of our global family.
There will be a speaker talking about the work of Cafod at all Masses next weekend. This Lent, please support the life-saving work of local experts like Sister Consilia in Zimbabwe who gives vital medication at her health centre. On Friday, 6th March, can you eat a simple meal in solidarity and give what you save to help people like Sister Consilia?
Through CAFOD’s global Church network – one of the largest aid networks in the world – your support can reach to the ends of the earth. Your Fast Day envelope will be attached to the Bulletin next weekend, please return on weekend of 7th – 8th March in the retiring collection. Thank you so much for supporting CAFOD’s Family Fast Day.
