WE WELCOME BACK Fr Joseph from his holiday this weekend. We pray he enjoyed his stay in his homeland. Farewell and thanks to Fr Emmanuel for his time with us, he is grateful to you all for your generosity and hospitality.

CONGRATULATIONS to Cara Bernadette Molly who was Baptised in Our Lady of Peace on Saturday, 16th February, also to Urszula Elizabeth Anton, Harrison Murtagh Mackey and Alyzna Serah D’Silva, who will be Baptised in Our Lady of Peace on Saturday, 22nd February. Please pray for their parents, Grandparents and Godparents.

DECEASED Please pray for Mary Smith who died recentl y, her Funeral Service will be on Thursday, 20th February in Our Lady of Peace at 11.00am, followed by burial at Slough Cemetery. Please also pray for Christina Walker RIP who died last week, her Funeral Service will be on Thursday, 27th February at 11.30am in Slough Crematorium. May their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace, Amen.

REJOICE IN MOTHERHOOD : MOTHERS PRAYERS There will be no Mothers Prayers on Thursday, 20th February, due to the Funeral Service for Mary Smith RIP.

ADORATION of the Blessed Sacrament prior to the 6.00pm Mass on Saturdays, beginning at 5.15pm. Please respect the Lord and those who would like to pray by maintaining silence in Church prior to Mass. Also prior to the 9.30am Mass on Sundays, after the reflection, please maintain silence.

GIFT AID OFFERTORY ENVELOPES If you currently use envelopes, the new envelopes from April 2020 are available, they can be found on the table at the back of Our Lady of Peace Church. If you are a UK taxpayer, you could add 25p to every £1 that you give to your Parish (at no cost to yourself) through Gift Aid. SLOUGH FOODBANK thank you for your support. Your donations during January 2020 came to 35.6kgs. This make a big difference to local people in crisis.

DIOCESAN DIRECTORY copies of the Northampton Diocesan Directory for 2020 are available in the Church porches priced £5 per copy.

BAPTISM PREPARATION COURSE The next Baptism Preparation course that Fr Joseph and Deacon Marek will be running begins on Wednesday, 4th March at 7.00pm and will be held in the Sacristy at Our Lady of Peace. If you wish for your child to be Baptised over the next few months, you will need to attend the course. This is especially important for first time parents. If you have not already advised that you will be attending, please contact Yvonne on 01628 605764.

SAFEGUARDING The Bishop has instructed that all Eucharist Ministers require to have a Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check in place. If you are a commissioned Eucharist Minister, and have not had a DBS check carried out, then please contact Yvonne on 01628 605764 or by email using this link, as a matter of urgency and she will arrange for a DBS to be carried out.

If you, a relative, friend or neighbour are sick or housebound and would like to receive Holy Communion please ring Maura.

REJOICE IN MOTHERHOOD : MOTHERS PRAYERS For Mothers who wish to pray together for their children and grandchildren – Mothers, Grandmothers, Aunties! Please come and join us as we pray for our children in Our Lady of Peace Church at 10.30am on Thursdays. Please feel free to request prayers for family and friends. There is a ‘Mothers Prayers’ request book on the bookshelf at the side entrance to the Church.

OUR PARISH LIST OF THE SICK There is a book where you can enter the name of the person to be prayed for. In line with Data Protection legislation please obtain the consent of the person before entering their name in the book. This book will be placed on the altar during each Mass in Our Lady of Peace Church.

MASS OFFERING FORMS are available in the Church porches which you can complete for any Mass intentions you wish to have offered. Please return the form, with your offering, in an envelope and hand to Fr Joseph or Yvonne, or leave in the Sacristy or Presbytery.

OUR LADY OF PEACE CHURCH ‘DEFECTS LOG’ BOOK There is a ‘defects log’ book on the bookcase in Our Lady of Peace Church. If you find any defects which need to be investigated in the Church please make a note in the book.

SUBMISSIONS FOR THE PARISH WEBSITE OR WEEKLY NEWSLETTER can be sent to Yvonne. Items on paper and print are also accepted and can be given to Yvonne using this link, or Fr Joseph or delivered to the Presbytery. The deadline for items for the printed bulletin is Thursday 12 noon.

QUIZ NIGHT Holy Redeemer fundraising Team will be holding a Quiz night on 22nd February at The Holy Family Parish Centre, Langley starting at 7.30pm. Please join them for a fun filled evening where you can test your knowledge and at the same time help support Holy Redeemer Parish. Teams will be limited to a maximum of 6. SACRAMENT OF CONFIRMATION 2020 Session Six of the Confirmation programme will be on Thursday, 27th February at 7.00pm in Our Lady of Peace.

VOCATIONS WEEKEND FOR YOUNG WOMEN Theme: Discernment and Vocation. 28th February – 1st March 2020. Location: Liverpool The weekend is organised by the sisters, Faithful Companions of Jesus (FCJ). There is nothing quite like religious life – it is an extraordinary adventure into a deep relationship with God.

If you are wondering if God is calling you to religious life and would like to find out more why not come along? You are welcome to stay for the weekend or just come along on Saturday for the day. There will be opportunity for prayer, reflection and input, chance to ask questions and to meet others who are also wondering where God is calling them. WORLD DAY OF PRAYER This year St Nicolas Church, Taplow is hosting the World Day of Prayer service for Churches in the local area. The service, which has been prepared by the women of Zimbabwe, takes place on Friday, 6th March at 12.30pm with soup, tea and cakes served afterwards. All are welcome.

THE NATIONAL NOVENA TO ST JOSEPH will take place from 10th-18th March at St Joseph’s Church, Maidenhead. Each year the Mill Hill Missionaries prepare for the Feast of St Joseph, their patron, with a special Novena of Masses and prayers to ask for God’s blessing on their Society and the missionary outreach of the Church, as well as for the intentions of all those who support their work.

All are invited to attend. Masses are as follows: Tuesday, 10th March to Friday, 13th March at 7.30pm, Saturday, 14th March at 10.00am, Sunday, 15th March at 10.45am, Monday, 16th to Wednesday, 18th March at 7.30pm.

If you are unable to attend but would like to join in from home by praying the daily Novena prayer, you are welcome to send in your petitions (forms are available in the Church porches) and/or to request a Novena booklet, please write to the Novena Director, St Joseph’s Missionary Society, 58 Cookham Road, Maidenhead, SL6 7HT, or email using this link.

ST PATRICK’S EVENING at St Andrew’s on Saturday, 14th March from 6.30pm. Celebrate an evening with a traditional supper, Irish Bingo, a raffle and music by Stephen Barker, complete with a licensed bar. Tickets will be on sale from next weekend, priced £10 for adults, children under 16 free, over 16 £10, food included. The proceeds of this event will be shared equally between Our Lady of Peace and St Andrew’s. If you would like to donate a prize for the raffle please leave in the Presbytery or the Sacristy for Yvonne.
