LIGHT THE ADVENT CANDLE Each weekend of Advent we will be singing one verse and refrain from a Hymn at the beginning of Mass as the Advent Candle is lit. Each week the verse and lyrics are dedicated to the particular candle being lit, and will be advised in the Bulletin.
First Sunday of Advent
Light the Advent candle, one:
Now the waiting has begun;
we have started on our way,
time to think of Christmas day.Refrain
Candle, candle, burning bright,
shining in the cold winter night;
candle, candle, burning bright,
fill our hearts with Christmas light.
