MASS CHANGE Please note Mass on Tuesday, 26th November will be at 9.00AM in Our Lady of Peace, not at 9.30am.
BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE As in previous years, the Book of Remembrance will be kept in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel during November. Please do not write in the book.

THE GOD WHO SPEAKS the YEAR of the WORD Our Bishops have asked us to reflect on the Word of God in the coming year. We have received a limited amount of one of the resources that the Bible Society have made available, which is in the form of a brochure, at the centre of which is the Journey with Matthew poster, the Lectionary gospel for 2019/2020. We also hope to receive copies of Matthew’s gospel over the coming weeks. For further information and other materials please consult godwhospeaks@cbcew.org.uk The Diocesan launch of the Year will be at the Immaculate Conception Mass in the Cathedral at 11.00am on Saturday, 7th December, with readers who proclaim the Word being commissioned at Mass that weekend in our Parish.
DEFIBRILLATOR A family have very kindly donated a defibrillator to Our Lady of Peace Church, should the need arise to assist someone, it is currently kept in the Sacristy.
ROSARY FOR HOLY SOULS will be prayed on Thursdays during November after 9.30am Mass in St Andrew’s.
DIVINE MERCY CHAPLET is prayed each Sunday at 11.20am, before Mass in St Andrew’s for Priests.
MISSIO The collection and re-distribution of red boxes will take place in January. Missio liturgical calendars will be available for red box holders over the next few weeks from the back of the Church. Please take one.

ADORATION of the Blessed Sacrament prior to the 6.00pm Mass on Saturdays, beginning at 5.15pm. Please respect the Lord and those who would like to pray by maintaining silence in Church prior to Mass. Also prior to the 9.30am Mass on Sundays, after the reflection, please maintain silence.
BISHOP PETER has asked that the commissioning/re-commissioning of Readers should take place at all Masses on the weekend of 7th-8th December. Please try and come along to the Mass you normally attend.
CAR PARKING Please when using the carpark at the rear of Our Lady of Peace Church try to leave the middle lane, and the access lanes at the top of the carpark clear as you drive in, this will then allow access for an emergency vehicle if necessary. Please drive in as far into the car park as possible to facilitate more parking spaces. Also we ask that you take care not to block pavements or the corner of the road leading into St Michael’s Court. It is very difficult for residents of St Michael’s Court to access Lower Britwell Road when cars are parked on the corner obstructing the view onto the road.

CONFIRMATION 2020 programme for Year 9 students or above: Sunday, 24th November at 9.30am Mass – Programme begins with Presentation of Candidates. Attendance at Presentation of Candidates mandatory.
REJOICE IN MOTHERHOOD : MOTHERS PRAYERS For Mothers who wish to pray together for their children and grandchildren – Mothers, Grandmothers, Aunties! Please come and join us as we pray for our children in Our Lady of Peace Church at 10.30am on Thursdays. Please feel free to request prayers for family and friends. There is a ‘Mothers Prayers’ request book on the bookshelf at the side entrance to the Church.

OUR PARISH LIST OF THE SICK There is a book where you can enter the name of the person to be prayed for. In line with Data Protection legislation please obtain the consent of the person before entering their name in the book. This book will be placed on the altar during each Mass in Our Lady of Peace Church.
MASS OFFERING FORMS are available in the Church porches which you can complete for any Mass intentions you wish to have offered. Please return the form, with your offering, in an envelope and hand to Fr Joseph or Yvonne, or leave in the Sacristy or Presbytery.
OUR LADY OF PEACE CHURCH ‘DEFECTS LOG’ BOOK There is a ‘defects log’ book on the bookcase in Our Lady of Peace Church. If you find any defects which need to be investigated in the Church please make a note in the book.
IN OUR PARISH Yvonne Cafferty, is our Parish Safeguarding Representative. Maura Potter, is our Pastoral Coordinator for the sick and housebound, email Maura using this link or telephone 01628 666278. If you, a relative, friend or neighbour are sick or house bound and would like to receive Holy Communion please ring Maura on 01628 666278. If you are a commissioned Eucharist Minister and would be willing to join the team who take Communion to our sick and housebound parishioners then please contact Yvonne.
SUBMISSIONS FOR THE PARISH WEBSITE/WEEKLY NEWSLETTER can be sent to Yvonne. Items on paper and print are also accepted and can be given to Yvonne or Fr Joseph or delivered to the Presbytery. The deadline for items for the printed bulletin is Thursday 12 noon.

ST BERNARD’S PREPARATORY SCHOOL wish to appoint an Upper Key Stage 2 Class Teacher. Required for April or September 2020. The closing date for completed applications is Wednesday, 27th November 2019. Interviews will be held week beginning Monday, 2nd December 2019.

ST ANDREWS TRUSTEES are having a bottle tombola at the St Andrew’s Xmas Fayre on Saturday, 7th December to raise funds for the upkeep of St Andrew’s. PARISH FAMILY DANCE A Dance to raise funds for our Parish will be held in Slough Irish Club on Friday, 13th December from 8.00pm. Music by Chris Ball with dancing from 9.00pm until Midnight. Tickets priced £5, will be on sale over the next couple of weeks at most Masses. If you are able to donate a prize for the raffle please give to Yvonne in the Parish Office. Please support the Parish by buying a ticket and coming along on the night.
