You have come so that we may have life to the full, listen to our prayers for all in prison and their families, touched by your Spirit, may they find newness of heart and be open to that new life that is found only in you. May they know care, and receive support from those around them. May they find new purpose in serving you in their brothers and sisters. Amen.”
THE SOCIETY FOR THE PROTECTION OF UNBORN CHILDREN has produced postcards so that you can send a message to your MP urging him/her to vote against a dangerous abortion bill which is coming up in the House of Commons on Tuesday, 23rd October. The bill seeks to decriminalise abortion which would remove any effective legal protection for unborn babies and their mothers in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. There are postcards available in the Church porches.

MARY’S MEALS We have received the following message from Mary’s Meals:
“A very big ‘thank you’ for allowing Mary’s Meals to have its ‘Rags to Riches’ collection at the Catholic Churches of Our Lady of Peace and St Andrew’s last weekend. I am delighted to say that the Parishes managed to give respectively a total of 1,350 kg of unwanted clothes/bedding with cash donations of £334.07, making a total contribution of £1,090.07. It is estimated 270 bags were given. Mary’s Meals are very grateful for your support – this is an excellent result! The amount raised will feed 78 children who will not only get fed one good, nutritious meal every school day for a whole year, but they will get an education too. Many thanks again”.
