EASTER SERVICES a lilac coloured leaflet is available which gives details of all the Easter Service times. Please take home a copy. Also there are lists available for you to sign up if you are able to help on Maundy Thursday, we need Eucharist Ministers. We also need Welcomers and Ushers for the Easter Sunday 9.45am Mass.

DECEASED Please pray for John Kelly RIP who died recently, his Requiem Mass will be held in Our Lady of Peace Church on Wednesday, 28th March at 10.30am followed by burial at Slough Cemetery. Please also pray for Peter Truman RIP who died recently, Peter’s body will be received into Our Lady of Peace Church on Monday, 9th April, his Requiem Mass will be at 12noon on Tuesday, 10th April, followed by committal at Amersham Crematorium. May their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace, Amen.
ST PATRICK’S EVENING ☘️ Many thanks to all who supported our St Patrick’s evening, it was a very successful evening. Thank you to all the team who worked so hard.
PARISH FINANCES Weekend 18th March : Loose £617.34. Envelopes £340.60. Standing Orders £446. Total £1,403.94. The retiring collection for the Easter flowers amounted to £197.04. Many thanks for your generosity. There will be a retiring collection held on Maundy Thursday for the work of the poor, and on Good Friday for the Holy Land Shrines. Your Easter offering is your personal gift to your Parish Priest.
GIFT AID OFFERTORY ENVELOPES If you currently use offertory envelopes the new envelopes from April 2018 are now available, and can be found on the table at the back of Our Lady of Peace Church. If you are a UK taxpayer, you could add 25p to every £1 that you give to your Parish (at no cost to yourself) through Gift Aid. EASTER CLEAN UP On Saturday, 31st March from 8.30am a special clean up of Our Lady of Peace Church, together with cleaning of the brass etc. Please try and spend an hour to help, hot cross buns and tea and coffee supplied!!!!
FIRST HOLY COMMUNION CLASSES The next session is on Saturday, 28th April from 9.30am – 11.00am in Our Lady of Peace. Please pray for our children so that they will grow in their appreciation of the sacraments of Confession and Holy Communion.

ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT every Monday at Our Lady of Peace from 7.00pm to 8.00pm. All welcome to join in Contemplating the Face of Christ through prayer, praise and stillness. There is also Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament at St Andrew’s every Thursday from 8.30am – 9.30am. All welcome.

ETON WICK CHURCHYARD A planning application, number 18/00057, has been submitted to RBWM, to add a 25m x 30m extension to the graveyard. If this application is refused the Churchyard will be full by 2020 and there will be no new space for further burials or ash interments. CAR PARKING Please when parking at Our Lady of Peace we ask that you take care not to block pavements or the corner of the road leading into St Michael’s Court. It is very difficult for residents of St Michael’s Court to access Lower Britwell Road when cars are parked on the corner obstructing the view onto the road. When using the car park please drive in as far as you can to allow us to use all the available spaces. 🚗

USED STAMPS FOR THE MISSIONS
Please save your stamps and put in the boxes available in the Church porches. Over the years used stamps have been collected at Slough and have been sold on to raise funds for work undertaken in schools, hospitals and Parishes by Sisters, Brothers, Lay People and Priests in the developing world. The used stamps are sold on to Dealers and Collectors, and the proceeds used to assist in funding Church projects abroad. This can be done here in this Parish by as many people as possible depositing as many stamps as is possible in the Stamps for the Missions box in the Church porch.
ST GILBERT’S MISSION Small plastic bottles are available in the Church porches for any loose change you would like to donate to the St Gilbert’s Mission Project. Please return full bottles to either St Gilbert’s or Our Lady of Peace.
OUR LADY OF PEACE CHURCH ‘DEFECTS LOG’ BOOK There is a ‘defects log’ book on the bookcase in Our Lady of Peace Church. If you find any defects which need to be investigated in the Church please make a note in the book.
MASS OFFERING FORMS are available in the Church porches which you can complete for any Mass intentions you wish to have offered. Please return the form, with your offering, in an envelope and hand to Fr Andy or Yvonne, or leave in the Sacristy or Presbytery.
PARISH MASS BOOKS We are using Volume 1 of the Mass books for Year B. As with Year A and Year C, books if you would like to donate £1.95 for one of these books, or £7.95 for the large print books, please feel free to do so, and we will enter into the book a dedication for your intention. Just put into an envelope the offering and the name(s) you wish inscribed in the book(s) and hand to Yvonne at the Sacristy or Presbytery: for a deceased person please add ‘RIP’ to the name or names; for someone alive, please add ‘Intention’.

OUR LADY OF PEACE CHILDREN’S LITURGY, 9.45AM MASS 👧👦 All children aged 4-7/8 years (School Reception to year 3) are warmly invited to come along and listen to the Gospel especially adapted for this age group, with reflection and prayer time. Children who have made their First Holy Communion are encouraged to remain in the main Mass. THE PASSION – The Parish Evangelisation Team will be showing the BBC film “The Passion” on Palm Sunday, 25th March starting at 2.00pm in the Sacristy or in the Church, depending on numbers. The certification for this film is 12. The film is long and there will be an Interlude with refreshments provided. The film starts with Jesus entry into Jerusalem and finishes with His appearances after the Resurrection. This film was first shown during Holy Week 2008.
