DECEASED Please pray for John Kelly RIP who died last week, his Requiem Mass will be held in Our Lady of Peace Church on Wednesday, 28th March at 10.30am followed by burial at Slough Cemetery. Please also pray for Peter Truman RIP who died last week, no details currently of his funeral arrangements. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace, Amen.

GIFT AID OFFERTORY ENVELOPES If you currently use offertory envelopes the new envelopes from April 2018 are now available, and can be found on the table at the back of Our Lady of Peace Church. EASTER FLOWERS 💐 There will be a second collection this weekend for the flowers for Easter. Our flower ladies who do the flowers each week produce beautiful displays and work hard throughout the year. Please be as generous as you can.

STATIONS OF THE CROSS During Lent Stations of the Cross will be held on Mondays in Our Lady of Peace at 7.00pm led by the Adoration Group, on Thursdays at St Andrew’s after 9.30am Mass, and most Friday evenings at Our Lady of Peace, on Friday, 23rd March they will be held at 6.30pm.
ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT every Monday at Our Lady of Peace from 7.00pm to 8.00pm. All welcome to join in Contemplating the Face of Christ through prayer, praise and stillness. There is also Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament at St Andrew’s every Thursday from 8.30am – 9.30am. All welcome.
LENTEN RECONCILIATION SERVICE at Our Lady of Peace, Tuesday 27th March at 7.00pm with visiting confessors.
EASTER CLEAN UP On Saturday, 31st March from 8.30am a special clean up of Our Lady of Peace Church, together with cleaning of the brass etc. Please try and spend an hour to help, hot cross buns and tea and coffee supplied!
FIRST HOLY COMMUNION CLASSES The next session is on Saturday, 24th March from 9.30am – 11.00am in St Andrew’s Church, Cippenham. Please pray for our children so that they will grow in their appreciation of the sacraments of Confession and Holy Communion.
MY DAY BY DAY Infant and Junior Easter books, are available in the Church porches, priced £1 each.
ETON WICK CHURCHYARD A planning application, number 18/00057, has been submitted to RBWM, to add a 25m x 30m extension to the graveyard. If this application is refused the Churchyard will be full by 2020 and there will be no new space for further burials or ash interments. CAR PARKING Please when parking at Our Lady of Peace we ask that you take care not to block pavements or the corner of the road leading into St Michael’s Court. It is very difficult for residents of St Michael’s Court to access Lower Britwell Road when cars are parked on the corner obstructing the view onto the road. When using the car park please drive in as far as you can to allow us to use all the available spaces. 🚗

USED STAMPS FOR THE MISSIONS
Please save your stamps and put in the boxes available in the Church porches. Over the years used stamps have been collected at Slough and have been sold on to raise funds for work undertaken in schools, hospitals and Parishes by Sisters, Brothers, Lay People and Priests in the developing world. The used stamps are sold on to Dealers and Collectors, and the proceeds used to assist in funding Church projects abroad. This can be done here in this Parish by as many people as possible depositing as many stamps as is possible in the Stamps for the Missions box in the Church porch.
ST GILBERT’S MISSION Small plastic bottles are available in the Church porches for any loose change you would like to donate to the St Gilbert’s Mission Project. Please return full bottles to either St Gilbert’s or Our Lady of Peace.
OUR LADY OF PEACE CHURCH ‘DEFECTS LOG’ BOOK There is a ‘defects log’ book on the bookcase in Our Lady of Peace Church. If you find any defects which need to be investigated in the Church please make a note in the book.

MASS OFFERING FORMS are available in the Church porches which you can complete for any Mass intentions you wish to have offered. Please return the form, with your offering, in an envelope and hand to Fr Andy or Yvonne, or leave in the Sacristy or Presbytery.
PARISH MASS BOOKS We are using Volume 1 of the Mass books for Year B. As with Year A and Year C, books if you would like to donate £1.95 for one of these books, or £7.95 for the large print books, please feel free to do so, and we will enter into the book a dedication for your intention. Just put into an envelope the offering and the name(s) you wish inscribed in the book(s) and hand to Yvonne at the Sacristy or Presbytery: for a deceased person please add ‘RIP’ to the name or names; for someone alive, please add ‘Intention’.

LET IT BE – INSPIRING NEW VIDEO COURSE ON MARY We will be running the new CaFE film on the life of Mary past and present. Filmed around the world with well-known experts and down-to-earth testimonies about how the example and prayer of Mary can help us grow in our everyday faith.
Why not bring a friend and come and check out Session 1. This course will run for six weeks from Friday, 13th April until Friday, 18th May. Each session will start at 7.30pm and will be held in Our Lady of Peace Church. THE PASSION – The Parish Evangelisation Team will be showing the BBC film “The Passion” on Palm Sunday, 25th March starting at 2.00pm in the Sacristy or in the Church, depending on numbers. The certification for this film is 12. The film is long and there will be an Interlude with refreshments provided. The film starts with Jesus entry into Jerusalem and finishes with His appearances after the Resurrection. This film was first shown during Holy Week 2008.
