MASS CHANGE There will be no Mass on Friday, 17th November at 9.30am in Our Lady of Peace, Mass will be at 6.30pm in St Gilbert’s.
WE WELCOME the children from Class 6 who are joining us at the 9.30am Mass on Tuesday.
PARISH FINANCES Weekend 5th November : Loose £740.32. Envelopes £368. Standing Orders £446. Total £1,454.32.The retiring collection for Bishop’s Maintenance Fund amounted to £516.13. Many thanks for your generosity. Next weekend there will be a retiring collection for the Sick and Retired Clergy Fund.
DECEASED Please pray for Patricia Cole RIP who died recently, her Requiem Mass will be on Tuesday, 14th November at 11.00am followed by committal at Slough Crematorium. May her soul and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace. Amen

BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE As in previous years, the Book of Remembrance will be kept in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel during November. Please do not write in the book.
HOLY SOULS ENVELOPES These are now available in the Church porches. Please write the names of your dear ones and put in the envelope with your offering. The envelopes can be returned with the usual collection or put them through the letter box at the Presbytery. Your dear ones will be remembered at all the Masses for the Holy Souls offered during November.
HELP AFTER SUNDAY 9.45AM MASS Many thanks to all those who help tidy the Church after the 9.45am Mass each Sunday.
SACRAMENT OF CONFIRMATION 2018 Session 5 of the Confirmation programme is on Thursday, 16th November at 7.00pm in Our Lady of Peace.
REJOICE IN MOTHERHOOD : MOTHERS PRAYERS There will be no Mothers Prayers on Thursday, 16th November at 10.30am. Mothers Prayers will meet again on Thursday, 23rd November at 10.20am.
OUR LADY OF PEACE CHILDREN’S LITURGY 9.45AM MASS All children aged 4-7/8 years (School Reception to year 3) are warmly invited to come along and listen to the Gospel especially adapted for this age group, with reflection and prayer time. Children who have made their First Holy Communion are encouraged to remain in the main Mass. ST GILBERT’S MISSION Small plastic bottles are available in the Church porches for any loose change you would like to donate to the St Gilbert’s Mission Project. Please return full bottles to either St Gilbert’s or Our Lady of Peace.

OUR LADY OF PEACE CHURCH ‘DEFECTS LOG’ BOOK There is a ‘defects log’ book on the bookcase in Our Lady of Peace Church. If you find any defects which need to be investigated in the Church please make a note in the book.
ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT every Monday at Our Lady of Peace from 7.00pm to 8.00pm. All welcome to join in Contemplating the Face of Christ through prayer, praise and stillness. There is also Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament at St Andrew’s every Thursday (this week at Our Lady of Peace) from 8.30am – 9.30am. All welcome.
ROSARY The Rosary will be said after the 9.30am Mass at St Andrew’s each Thursday.
MASS OFFERING FORMS are available in the Church porches which you can complete for any Mass intentions you wish to have offered. Please return the form, with your offering, in an envelope and hand to Fr Andy or Yvonne, or leave in the Sacristy or Presbytery.
PARISH MASS BOOKS We are now using Volume 2 of the Mass books for Year A (gold cover). As with Year B and Year C, books if you would like to donate £1.95 for one of these books, or £7.95 for the large print books, please feel free to do so, and we will enter into the book a dedication for your intention. Just put into an envelope the offering and the name(s) you wish inscribed in the book(s) and hand to Yvonne at the Sacristy or Presbytery: for a deceased person please add ‘RIP’ to the name or names; for someone alive, please add ‘Intention’.

CAR PARKING Please when parking at Our Lady of Peace we ask that you take care not to block pavements or the corner of the road leading into St Michael’s Court. It is very difficult for residents of St Michael’s Court to access Lower Britwell Road when cars are parked on the corner obstructing the view onto the road. When using the car park please drive in as far as you can to allow us to use all the available 🚗 spaces.

If you, a relative, friend or neighbour are sick or house bound and would like to receive Holy Communion please ring Maura on 01628 666278. SING YOURSELF BETTER – THE HEALTH AND WELL-BEING BENEFITS OF SINGING A new body of research reveals the overwhelmingly positive feeling that people get from singing in choirs — that singing in a choir impacts positively on their physical, social and emotional well being and suggests the potential of choirs to improve wellbeing. The findings of the study concluded that,
“The greatest benefits of singing in a choir came from reducing social isolation; stimulating cognitive function; alleviating low mood and anxiety; improving respiratory function; having fun and relaxing and obtaining a sense of mindfulness and transcendence from everyday worries”.
Come join our very own choir at Our Lady of Peace – recruiting now – in time for Christmas – and reap these benefits. We can promise a relaxed atmosphere, plenty of laughs and wonderful sense of wellbeing. We meet every Tuesday evening – 7.30pm in Our Lady of Peace. We are an informal choir and all voices, of all kinds are very welcome.
THE ART CLASS 🎨, which meets every Wednesday at St Andrew’s Church, would welcome more members to join them into their friendly and creative club. Times are from 10.00am until noon. A minimal charge of £1 per session includes your tea/coffee and biscuits and funds Art Class projects, usually in the form of gifts to the Church. You might be the next Picasso!!

REJOICE IN MOTHERHOOD : MOTHERS PRAYERS For Mothers who wish to pray together for their children and grandchildren – Mothers, Grandmothers, Aunties! Please come and join us as we pray for our children, Our Lady of Peace Church at 10.30am on Thursdays. On the last Thursday of each month Mothers Prayers will only be at 7.00pm, there will be no Mothers Prayers at 10.30am on that day. All Christian faiths welcome. LIFE IN THE SPIRIT COURSE Session 3 – The Gift of the Spirit – will be held on Friday, 17th November at 7.30pm in Our Lady of Peace Church.
BIBLE TIMELINE – THE GREAT ADVENTURE This is a comprehensive course looking at the story of Salvation. It will run for 24 weeks (but not during school holidays). This course will help you to understand God’s plan for mankind and teach you how to read and understand the Bible. It will also help you to understand the Liturgy of the Word during Mass and encourage you to read your Bible more regularly. We are hoping to start this course very soon.
