MESSAGE FROM FR DEOGRATIAS “Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, this message serves to express my joy for joining you to offer worship and praise. I was last here in 2013 and I am grateful to God for granting me this opportunity. I am greatly indebted to our Parish Priest Fr Andy and his co-worker Fr Simon for welcoming me back and to permit me to serve at our Parish. – May God bless you all. I will be leaving on 24th September to travel back to Uganda after all Masses. Next year, I will be celebrating my Priestly Silver Jubilee on 8th August 2018. You are all most welcome to join me in Prayer”.
CARDINAL CORMAC MURPHY-O’CONNOR RIP Prayer cards are available in the Church porches. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace, Amen.

PARISH FINANCES Weekend 10th September : Loose £702.49. Envelopes £227. Standing Orders £446. Total £1,375.49. Many thanks for your generosity.
MANY THANKS to the team who provide the tea & coffee after 9.45am Mass each Sunday for their generous donation of £200. Thank you to all who support them each week.
THIS WEEKEND IS HOME MISSION SUNDAY Often when we hear the word ‘Mission’ it is associated with the valuable work of helping people in other countries. Whilst important, we also need to share our faith with those we love, know and meet – right here on ’home turf’. By donating to the retiring collection this weekend you will enable the Home Mission Office to produce resources, help Parishes and equip people to share their faith with others.

MARY’S MEALS Please bring all your unwanted clothing including bags, towels,
blankets, curtains, shoes and bedding to Church on Saturday, 23rd & Sunday
24th September. Put your clothing etc (no bric-a-brac or furniture please) into
sacks marked ‘Mary’s meals’ and bring them to Mass where the charity Mary’s
Meals will be here to pick them up. Amazingly 3 full black sacks of reasonable quality clothing will feed a child one good nutritious meal every school day for a whole year! Mary’s Meals is a low cost charity that sets up school feeding programmes in communities where poverty and hunger prevent children from gaining an education.

MARRIAGE PREPARATION LEADERS Engaged couples are required to attend a marriage preparation day and this year over 30 couples attended one of the four days that we have provided in our Slough Pastoral Area. We are in need of some new leaders for 2018. They can be couples or individuals and the requirements are that they have been married for five years or more, that they believe in marriage and are prepared to share their enthusiasm for marriage with young couples about to embark on a beautiful journey. All material is provided and leaders are asked to commit themselves to one Saturday each year.
If you feel you could help please contact Fr. Kevin O’Driscoll via email using this link. A training day will be arranged in the near future.
