GIFT AID OFFERTORY ENVELOPES If you currently use offertory envelopes the new envelopes from April 2017 are now available, and can be found on the table at the back of Our Lady of Peace Church. If you are a UK taxpayer, you could add 25p to every £1 that you give to your Parish (at no cost to yourself) through Gift Aid, this is a great help to Parish finances. ST GILBERT’S MISSION Small plastic bottles are available in the Church porches for any loose change you would like to donate to the St Gilbert’s Mission Project. Please return full bottles to either St Gilbert’s or Our Lady of Peace.
CAN YOU HELP? At Funerals we need help with handing out the Order of Service and helping tidy the Church after the funeral. If you can help please just turn up when you see the notice in the Bulletin that there is to be a funeral held in the Church.
WALK WITH ME – a Lenten Journey of Prayer books, are available in the Church porches, priced £1.
NORES has Word of God Year A books available at £2.50 each. At the start of a new liturgical year, beginning with the first Sunday of Advent, there are books for purchase to help Readers with their understanding of the Gospels: Robin Cooper’s The Word of God, Year A Matthew’s Gospel. OUR LADY OF PEACE CHURCH ‘DEFECTS LOG’ BOOK There is a ‘defects log’ book on the bookcase in Our Lady of Peace Church. If you find any defects which need to be investigated in the Church please make a note in the book.
ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT every Monday at Our Lady of Peace from 7.00pm to 8.00pm. All welcome to join in Contemplating the Face of Christ through prayer, praise and stillness. There is also Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament at St Andrew’s every Thursday from 8.30am – 9.30am. All welcome.
ROSARY The Rosary will be said after the 9.30am Mass at St Andrew’s each Thursday.
MASS OFFERING FORMS are available in the Church porches which you can complete for any Mass intentions you wish to have offered. Please return the form, with your offering, in an envelope and hand to Fr Andy or Yvonne, or leave in the Sacristy or Presbytery.
PARISH MASS BOOKS We are now using Volume 1 of the Mass books for Year A (yellow cover). As with Year B and Year C, books if you would like to donate £1.95 for one of these books, or £7.95 for the large print books, please feel free to do so, and we will enter into the book a dedication for your intention. Just put into an envelope the offering and the name(s) you wish inscribed in the book(s) and hand to Yvonne at the Sacristy or Presbytery: for a deceased person please add ‘RIP’ to the name or names; for someone alive, please add ‘Intention’.
CAR PARKING Please when parking at Our Lady of Peace we ask that you take care not to block pavements or the corner of the road leading into St Michael’s Court. It is very difficult for residents of St Michael’s Court to access Lower Britwell Road when cars are parked on the corner obstructing the view onto the road. When using the car park please drive in as far as you can to allow us to use all the available spaces.
Over the next couple of weeks with the children making their First Holy Communions there will be extra cars and we ask please could everyone park considerately.

Landings is primarily a listening programme. A place where a returning Catholic can safely ‘land’, explore and share their experiences and hear other people’s stories.

CATHOLIC WOMEN’S LEAGUE EVENTS On Sunday, 30th April, the CWL will be holding a cake sale after the 9.45am Mass. Proceeds will go to CWL charities. The CWL will be holding the annual World Union of Catholic Women’s Organisations Service on Tuesday, 9th May 2017 at Our Lady of Peace Church at 7.00pm. This will be followed by cheese and wine. DIOCESAN ALTAR SERVERS MASS – SATURDAY 13th MAY Bishop Peter has very kindly agreed to celebrate a votive Mass of St Stephen at the Cathedral on Saturday, 13th May at 12 noon for the altar servers of our Diocese. This invitation is extended to clergy, family, friends and parishioners and is not exclusive to members of the Guild of St Stephen, they very much would like to see altar servers from all of the parishes in the Diocese and would encourage them to join with what promises to be a memorable occasion.
Altar servers are asked to be at the Cathedral from 11.00am onwards ready to process into the Cathedral by 11.45am. Altar servers should bring their albs/cottas with them. After the Mass, they hope to have a buffet on the lawn of Cathedral House.
