DECEASED There are a number of funerals coming up over the next couple of weeks, details as follows:
- Please pray for James Deegan RIP who died recently, his Body will be received into Our Lady of Peace Church on Monday, 23rd January at 4.30pm and his Requiem Mass will be on Tuesday, 24th January at 11.00am.
- Please pray for Simon Keith Edwards RIP who died recently, his Requiem Mass will be on Friday, 27th January at 11.00am in Our Lady of Peace followed by burial at Braywick Cemetery, Braywick Road, Maidenhead, SL6 1DH.
- Please pray for Nora O’Donovan RIP who died recently, her Requiem Mass will be on Monday, 30th January at 10.30am in Our Lady of Peace. The family have requested no flowers please.
May their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace. Amen
DOROTHY PETERS with whom many of our congregation were acquainted, died on 15th January. Dorothy was a member of the Anglican congregation, a co-founder of St Andrew’s in 1969, kind, gentle and respected by all. Funeral arrangements have yet to be advised.
MASS CHANGE There will be no Mass on Friday, 27th January at 9.30am at Our Lady of Peace, Mass will be at 11.00am, and will be the Requiem Mass for Simon Keith Edwards RIP.

REJOICE IN MOTHERHOOD : MOTHERS PRAYERS For Mothers who wish to pray together for their children and grandchildren – Mothers, Grandmothers, Aunties! Please come and join us as we pray for our children, Our Lady of Peace Church at 10.30am. Please note for those unable to attend the regular 10.30am Thursday meetings, once a month there will be an evening meeting at 7.00pm. All Christian faiths welcome. ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT every Monday at Our Lady of Peace from 7.00pm to 8.00pm. All welcome to join in Contemplating the Face of Christ through prayer, praise and stillness. There is also Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament at St Andrew’s every Thursday from 8.30am – 9.30am. All welcome.
ROSARY The Rosary will be said after the 9.30am Mass at St Andrew’s each Thursday.
ST ANDREW’S 300 CLUB The draw was held last Sunday, winners are as follows : 1st Prize of £50 No 40 Pat Carmichael. 2nd Prize of £35 No 54 Annie Ryan. 3rd Prize of £15 No 24 Anna King. MASS OFFERING FORMS are available in the Church porches which you can complete for any Mass intentions you wish to have offered. Please return the form, with your offering, in an envelope and hand to Fr Andy or Yvonne, or leave in the Sacristy or Presbytery.
PARISH MASS BOOKS We are now using Volume 1 of the Mass books for Year A (yellow cover). As with Year B and Year C, books if you would like to donate £1.95 for one of these books, or £7.95 for the large print books, please feel free to do so, and we will enter into the book a dedication for your intention. Just put into an envelope the offering and the name(s) you wish inscribed in the book(s) and hand to Yvonne at the Sacristy or Presbytery: for a deceased person please add ‘RIP’ to the name or names; for someone alive, please add ‘Intention’.
CAR PARKING Please when parking at Our Lady of Peace we ask that you take care not to block pavements or the corner of the road leading into St Michael’s Court. It is very difficult for residents of St Michael’s Court to access Lower Britwell Road when cars are parked on the corner obstructing the view onto the road. When using the car park please drive in as far as you can to allow us to use all the available spaces.

Opening and locking church building when required. No Sunday working. Cleaning of the building, removal of rubbish, undertaking adhoc duties, health and safety compliance. DIOCESAN REPRESENTATIVE FOR THE MEDAILLE TRUST – 16 HOURS PER WEEK
The Medaille Trust was founded in 2006 by a number of religious congregations and exists to raise awareness of the plight of trafficked men, women and children, to provide relief to these victims through safe housing, opportunities for physical and psychological healing and rehabilitation. They are now looking for a Diocesan Representative for the Northampton Diocese with sympathy for such a charity who has good people skills, the ability to make presentations in schools and churches, help raise awareness and achieve sustainable funding. SPIRIT AND LIGHT WORSHIP EVENING at St Andrew’s on Friday, 27th January at 7.30pm. These evenings are led by Fr Andy, and involve praise and worship in the Presence of the Blessed Sacrament, together with gentle prayer ministry where we invite the Holy Spirit to come to bless us. VOCATIONS WEEKEND for young women (20’s and 30’s)Theme: Discerning God’s Call. Dates: 27th – 29th January. Location: New Cross, London. The weekend is organised by the sisters, Faithful Companions of Jesus (FCJ). There will be input from the FCJ sisters on different aspects of vowed life, and time for prayer, reflection and discussion with other young women who are also considering a vocation to religious life. LUX is a residential for young Catholics aged 11-18 years of age (secondary school). Twice a year 100 young people gather together to celebrate our faith by meeting new friends, learning new stuff and praising God. All this, and having the most unforgettable weekend of their life! The Lux weekend costs £85 per person, and some bursary places are available. They gather at the Kings Park Conference Centre in Northampton, and the next weekend is on 3rd – 5th February 2017. FIRST HOLY COMMUNION CLASSES The next session is on Saturday, 28th January from 9.30am – 11.00am at St Andrew’s Church, Cippenham. Please continue to pray for our children so that they will grow in their appreciation of the sacraments of Confession and Holy Communion.
